Helicity dependence of superdiffusive transport in BiTeI

The atelier FemtoARPES and the CASSIOPEE beamline have published in Phys. Rev. Lett. new results on systems with strong spin-orbit coupling. The pump-induced dichroism observed in non-centrosymmetric BiTeI reveals that superdiffusive transport depends on the helicity of incoming photons. This finding provides new insights about transport mechanisms of electronic states with spin-momentum locking.
