2015 was declared International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies by UNESCO. On this occasion, SOLEIL opens its gates to the general public in some evenings and week-ends.
We suggest 3 dates :
- Saturday June 13th, from 2pm to 3.30pm
- Tuesday June 16th, from 7pm to 8.30pm
- Thursday July 2nd, from 7pm to 8.30pm
The program includes a guided tour (approximately 90 minutes) of the Synchrotron building in small groups. You will discover how SOLEIL works on our mock-ups, then see the different accelerators of the synchrotron, before going to the control room/
The visits are free and on reservation.
Warning
- Limited spots available
- Each group will be supervised by a SOLEIL guide
- For safety reason, pacemaker users and children under 12 are forbidden to enter the site
- Proof of identity may be requested at the entrance
