Come discover SOLEIL in another light: the SOLEIL Pursuit!

Since 2011, 3 times a year, SOLEIL organizes visits a little special, designed for high school students, called SOLEIL Pursuit. As in a Trivial Pursuit, students are asked to answer different challenges in order to fill the famous pie chart. This time, instead of general culture, the questions are about scientific and synchrotron culture!

In this life-size treasure hunt, the class is divided into small groups (between 6 and 8 students), which go from hands-on experiments to challenges to discover the many facets of SOLEIL. Infrared radiation, ultraviolet light, X-rays, electrons, particle accelerator, all of the concepts discussed and shelled on the course.

At the end of the session, a presentation after a video application of SOLEIL is organized between the different groups, placing students in the shoes of science journalists.

For the 2018-2019 school year, 3 sessions are organized on the following dates:

- From 11 to 14 December 2018

- From 17 to 21 February 2019

- From 2 to 4 April 2019

These tours last about 3 hours, are free and organized from Tuesday to Thursday.
